Winning the toss Ireland elected to field first. Although they are playing their first international test match against one of the top teams they are very disciplined in their strategy. With their clever bowling they reduced Pakistan to 310 runs. Then when it came to batting, Ireland batsmen struggled against the top quality bowling of Pakistan.
