With the Security Director Cloud, Juniper aims to bridge the gap between existing security implementations and future SASE rollouts. The cloud portal provides connectivity and security services for locations, users and applications.
One thing is clear to Juniper Networks (Juniper): Technology innovations and increasingly dispersed employees are changing the way companies build their networks and do business. The provider now wants to support this transition from monolithic, centralized data center architectures to the decentralized Secure Access Service Edge ( SASE ) with the Security Director Cloud.
The cloud-based portal is intended to combine current corporate security implementations with future SASE rollouts. The solution provides connectivity and security services for locations, users and applications.
The application brings together threat detection information. This also includes third-party security products and provides correlated insights into attacks across the network.
The Security Director Cloud uses a uniform policy construct for traditional as well as cloud-based security. According to Juniper, this reduces the operational effort: Changes to the network architecture towards a distributed service landscape would be simplified. This would also result in fewer attack vectors as a result of human oversight.
The provider also advertises with zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), intuitive configuration wizards and advanced threat prevention using Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP).
